Description

A trip to Cheow Lan Lake takes you to one of the quietest corners of Thailand, inside Khao Sok National Park, home to some of the oldest tropical rainforests on Earth. There's no mobile signal or internet on the lake — just emerald water, limestone cliffs, and the sounds of the wild. The itinerary also includes a sunrise viewpoint at Samed Nangshe and the mountaintop temple of Wat Bang Thong.

Itinerary:

06:00–06:30 — hotel pickup.
08:00 — pickup truck ride up to Samed Nangshe viewpoint: panoramic views comparable to Halong Bay, free time for photos.
10:50 — viewpoint overlooking Cheow Lan Lake.
11:10 — arrival at the lake pier, boarding a traditional longtail boat.
11:20 — lake safari begins.
12:00 — Guilin Rocks.
12:40 — lunch.
Free time: canoeing and swimming.
14:30 — departure to the pier.
15:00 — arrival at the pier.
16:20 — Wat Bang Thong temple atop Khao Lan mountain, blending Thai and Chinese Buddhist architectural styles.
17:00 — return to hotel.
